Sulfosalicylic Acid solutions can be assayed with standardized Sodium Hydroxide solutions using Phenolphthalein Indicator according to the following reaction:

HOC6H3(COOH)SO3H + 2 NaOH → HOC6H3(COONa)SO3Na + 2 H2O
