Sustainability
Our Commitment to the Future
At Ricca Chemical Company, we believe that chemistry has the power to drive a more sustainable future. Chemistry is necessary for the continuation of several critical industries: Food and Beverage, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Clinical, Pulp and Paper, and more. Sustainable practices in the chemical manufacturing industry can have ripple effects throughout society by reducing chemical waste and contamination, fueling environmental research, and lowering our carbon footprint. Through responsible sourcing, efficient manufacturing, and waste reduction, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, while delivering the highest quality reagents and solutions.
Our dedication to continual improvement has led us to seek 3rd party assistance from EcoVadis to identify and implement strategic development initiatives. EcoVadis is an organization that assesses businesses in 4 key areas of sustainability: Environmental Management, Ethics, Labor & Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement. They provide a rating based on this assessment and provide tools and resources to help develop, plan, and implement new sustainable practices. Since 2023, Ricca Chemical Company has been annually assessed. We have been awarded a Commitment Badge in recognition of our sustainability achievement and improving our score from 2024 to 2025. We will be re-assessed in 2026. Official EcoVadis recognition.

In addition to working with EcoVadis, RICCA Chemical Company participates in the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (Supplier LOCT), an online learning collaborative that provides guidance on measuring and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and setting science-based targets. This program is a collaboration of global brands and suppliers committed to carbon emissions reductions. Through our participation in the global LOCT collaborative, we have completed the development of our greenhouse gas Scope 1, 2 footprint, are in-process of developing our scope 3 footprint, and have earned our Scope 1 and 2 and Scope 3 badges.
